Act Now Before Nigeria Boils Over” — Kwankwaso Sounds Tough Warning to Federal Government

Former Kano State Governor and leader of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, has issued a stern warning to the Federal Government, urging it to take decisive action against the rising wave of insecurity before the situation slips completely out of control.

Kwankwaso expressed deep concern over the escalating attacks across various states, noting that Nigerians are becoming increasingly vulnerable as bandits and terrorists continue to unleash violence without fear.

Speaking during an engagement with party stakeholders, Kwankwaso stressed that the nation is “moving toward a dangerous tipping point,” adding that government must “wake up from complacency” and act swiftly to restore order.
He lamented the growing number of communities living under constant threat, emphasizing that insecurity has now affected the economy, education, and even daily survival.

He urged the government to overhaul its security architecture, invest in intelligence gathering, support local vigilante structures, and address the root causes of terrorism rather than relying on temporary measures.

Kwankwaso’s warning has sparked reactions nationwide, with analysts telling Daily Trust that his concerns mirror the frustrations of millions of Nigerians who feel the government is not responding urgently enough to the worsening security crisis.

As insecurity continues to tighten its grip on several regions, all eyes remain on the federal authorities to see whether Kwankwaso’s alarm will trigger the immediate action the nation desperately needs.
