During a conversation with journalists in Kano State on Wednesday, Amaechi shared his views following a meeting with a group of traders.
The former Minister of Transportation firmly stated that he would not withdraw in favor of any candidate in the party’s primary election. Amaechi emphasized the importance of the ADC holding a transparent competition, noting that fostering internal democracy would bolster the party’s strength. He said, “Whether the government wants to conduct credible elections or not, one thing is certain—time is up.
Nigerians are tired because no one is happy under Tinubu, not even in Rivers or across the South. People are suffering everywhere. “If you look at all those aspiring, including Tinubu, who is better prepared than I am? My candidacy offers unity because I come from the South, and we are not in conflict with any region.” Ameachi visited the family of the late Alhaji Aminu Alhassan Dantata in Kano to offer his condolences.
