Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and several All Progressives Congress (APC) members have launched a coalition opposing President Bola Tinubu ahead of the 2027 general election.

At an ongoing press conference in Abuja, key opposition figures, including Labour Party’s 2023 presidential candidate Peter Obi (represented by Yunusa Tanko), former Secretary to the Government of the Federation Babachir Lawal, and former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai, were present.

Other notable attendees include National Secretary of the Coalition of United Political Parties Peter Ahmeh and Alternative Convenor Segun Showunmi. Apologies were sent by former governors Rotimi Amaechi, Kayode Fayemi, and former APC National Chairman Abdullahi Adamu.
