A bill for the establishment of a federal university of Agriculture in Omuma Local Government Area has been proposed at the Federal House of Representatives and has scaled through first reading. 

Also scaling through first reading is a bill to establish a federal University of Technology in Etche Local Government Area. 

The bills were presented by the member representing Etche Omuma Federal constituency Kelechi Nworgu yesterday at plenary. 

Speaking with journalists shortly after plenary Nworgu said two bills if passed into law would expand the scope of development in Rivers state especially in the skilled sectors.
