A Federal High Court in Port Harcourt has adjourned until May 26, 2025, a constitutional suit filed by Dr. Farah Dagogo challenging President Bola Tinubu’s suspension of Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara, Deputy Governor Prof. Ngozi Odu, and state lawmakers.
Dagogo, a former PDP governorship aspirant, is contesting Tinubu’s declaration of a state of emergency and appointment of Vice Admiral Ibok-Ete Ibas (rtd.) as state administrator, arguing it violates the Constitution.
At Monday’s hearing, only Ibas responded through counsel, prompting the adjournment. The presiding judge, Justice Adamu Mohammed, warned the case would proceed next time regardless of delays.
