The High Court in Lafia, Nasarawa State, has sentenced Oluwatimileyin Ajayi to death by hanging for the brutal murder of National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) member, Salome Adaidu.

Delivering the judgment on Thursday, Justice Simon Aboki found Ajayi guilty of culpable homicide after evidence showed he killed and dismembered the victim.

Ajayi was convicted on a one-count charge under Section 221 of the Penal Code of Northern Nigeria, which prescribes the death penalty for such offences.
