The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), says it has not released a list purportedly of 58 former governors under investigation over alleged corruption

EFCC spokesman, Dele Oyewale, who made the clarification in a statement yesterday, said the commission feels obliged to dissociate itself from the false and mischievous report in circulation, insisting that it neither issued the said list nor entertained discussions on investigation of ex-governors.

Oyewale enjoined the public to ignore the report and tasked the media to crosscheck facts pertaining to matters under investigation with the Commission to avoid misleading the public with false and inaccurate reports.
