The message, conveyed through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesperson, Kimiebi Ebienfa, highlighted the long-standing and historic relationship between Nigeria and the U.S., particularly in areas such as governance, sustainable development, and the fight against terrorism.

Nigeria expressed its commitment to deepening its strategic partnership with the U.S. under Trump’s leadership, aiming to advance mutual interests and address global challenges. The government also looked forward to continued collaboration to foster growth and strengthen ties between the two nations.

Trump was sworn in on Monday during a ceremony at the Capitol Rotunda, administered by Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts, where he pledged to uphold the Constitution.
