The Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction has debunked claims of a purported Federal Government ₦50,000 Child Support Grant for Nigerian parents.

In a statement issued by the ministry’s Director of Information, Mrs. Rhoda Iliya, parents were cautioned against falling victim to fraudsters spreading false information. She emphasized that the ministry is unaware of any registration portal related to the alleged grant.

“Parents should be wary of the activities of fraudsters trying to scam them. If the ministry undertakes such programmes in the future, there will be proper public enlightenment,” Iliya stated.

The ministry urged the public to disregard the circulating information and to verify announcements through official government channels to avoid being misled by scammers.
