In a statement, the ministry reassured citizens that there is no evidence supporting the presence of the XEC variant, which was first identified in Australia and has reportedly spread to 29 countries. The public was urged to disregard social media rumors and continue adhering to universal health precautions, such as regular handwashing, to stay safe.
