Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara has announced that the first phase of the Creek Road Market reconstruction project in Old Port Harcourt Township is expected to deliver approximately 700 shops by January 2027.

The project is aimed at providing traders with a more organised trading environment, improving business activities and easing traffic congestion around the busy market area.

The reconstruction is expected to address some of the challenges faced by traders and customers, particularly congestion caused by trading activities and movement around Creek Road.
