The Nigeria Police Force has ramped up security operations across Plateau State to ensure a peaceful and hitch-free Eid-el-Fitr celebration.
According to reports by The Punch and Daily Trust, the state command has deployed additional personnel to strategic locations, including prayer grounds, markets, motor parks, and other public spaces, as part of proactive measures to prevent any security breaches.
The Plateau State Police Command, in a statement, reassured residents of its readiness to safeguard lives and property during the festive period. It also urged citizens to remain vigilant and cooperate with security agencies by reporting any suspicious movements.
Authorities emphasized that patrols, stop-and-search operations, and intelligence gathering have been intensified to maintain law and order throughout the celebrations.
