Justice Suzzete Wike advocates for domestication of child right law

Rivers State High Court Judge, Justice Suzzete Wike made this call yesterday at the Annual National Conference of Family Court Judges, Magistrates and other family courts in Port Harcourt.

The former first lady of Rivers State proposed stiffer sanctions for raping of minors. She further suggested that amputation will serve as a strong deterrent for rapist.

Justice Suzette said 6 out of 10 children in Nigeria experience emotional, Physical and sexual abuse before age 18 and lamented that thousands of marriages end these days end in divorce with the welfare of the children neglected.
