The Katsina State Government on Tuesday rewarded Malama Abdulkadir-Yanmama with ₦500,000 for her honesty in returning ₦748,320 mistakenly credited to her account.

The funds were meant for the Federal Government’s Home Grown School Feeding Programme, which she was not part of. After verifying her claim, Governor Dikko Radda directed that she be honored with a commendation letter, a cash reward, and an offer to participate in the next feeding programme.

State officials praised her integrity, urging others to emulate her exemplary conduct. Abdulkadir-Yanmama expressed gratitude for the recognition, emphasizing that returning the money was the right thing to do.
