There was a low turnout of civil servants at the state Secretariat today even as the two days of public holidays declared by the Federal Government for the celebration of Christmas has ended.
Our correspondent Allwell Ene who visited the State secretariat reports that at about 10.30 am only a few workers were sighted within the secretariat, with few others still strolling in.
A worker who never wanted his name mentioned nor his voice recorded explained that most of the workers have travelled home and might not return till after the New Year celebrations.
Meanwhile, banks, courts and other organisations have resumed business as customers and litigants were also seen in their numbers to patronize them.
