A Faction of Rivers State House Of Assembly (8 members) reportedly loyal to Governor Sim Fubara has impeached the Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly, Hon. Martin Amaewhule and appointed Ehie Edison as the new Speaker.

According to our source, there are also plans to suspend the Chief Judge of Rivers State, Justice Chibuzor Amadi.
