Queues for Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) also known as petrol have continued to grow as the country faces a fresh round of fuel scarcity despite assurances by the (NNPC) Limited that it has resolved the cause of fuel shortages in the country.
NNPC spokesman Olufemi Soneye had in a statement last week emphasised that the prices of petroleum products were not changing, while also clarifying that the tightness in supply was as a result of logistics issues that had already been resolved.
However, the Petroleum Product Retails Outlet Owners Association of Nigeria has identified access to supply of petroleum products as reasons for the continued fuel scarcity and long queues in filling stations across the country.
Its National President, Mr. Billy Grillis-Harry in an interview monitored by our correspondent, explained that members of his association haven’t been Supplied fuel from loading depots by the NNPC limited.
Mr. Grillis-Harry stressed that management of the NNPC limited is working round the clock to ensure adequate supply, and dispelled the rumor that the federal government was still paying for subsidy on fuel products.
