Fresh tension has erupted in the legal battle surrounding detained IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu, as his brother has accused authorities of blocking a critical step in the ongoing appeal process. According to him, a warrant meant to facilitate Kanu’s movement from detention to Abuja for access to essential appeal records was allegedly withheld, stalling preparations for the next legal stage.
The family claims the delay is deliberate and aimed at frustrating Kanu’s right to a fair hearing, insisting the legal team cannot proceed effectively without the required documents. Kanu’s brother described the situation as “a troubling obstruction that undermines justice,” urging the judiciary and federal authorities to ensure transparency and compliance with court directives.
The development has sparked renewed debate among legal experts and rights advocates, many calling for clarity on whether due process is being followed in the high-profile case.
As the standoff continues, all eyes remain on the courts to determine the next move in the long-running legal saga.
