The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has dismissed reports circulating on social media claiming that Prospective Corps Members (PCMs) who have not received their Call-Up Numbers should visit State Secretariats to collect them.

In a statement issued yesterday, Caroline Embu, the Acting Director of Information and Public Relations for the NYSC, urged the public to disregard such misinformation. She clarified that the claims did not originate from the Scheme and emphasized that all official communication with Prospective Corps Members is conducted exclusively through the NYSC’s authorized channels.

“The NYSC wishes to reiterate that all information regarding Call-Up Numbers and related matters is communicated directly to PCMs via official platforms. Any contrary directive should be ignored,” Embu stated.

The NYSC advised PCMs to remain vigilant against misinformation and to rely only on verified sources for updates.
