Patients, Health Workers Lament Deplorable Condition of Ebonyi Health Centre

Patients and health workers at a primary health centre in Ebonyi State have raised concerns over the facility’s deteriorating condition, citing inadequate equipment, shortage of essential drugs, poor infrastructure and insufficient manpower.

In another recent report, Anambra Daily quoted residents and community stakeholders in Abakaliki Local Government Area lamenting inadequate drugs and medical equipment at the Ekeaba Primary Health Centre, particularly for pregnant women and children.

Health workers say the situation makes it increasingly difficult to provide quality care, while patients are often forced to seek alternatives or purchase essential drugs themselves.

The development has sparked renewed calls for government intervention, with residents urging authorities to urgently rehabilitate neglected health facilities, provide medical equipment, employ more health workers and ensure regular supplies of essential drugs.
