Police Rescue 10-Year-Old Boy Found Stuffed in Sack, Two Suspects Arrested

A disturbing incident has sparked concern after police reportedly rescued a 10-year-old boy who was found stuffed inside a sack, with two suspects taken into custody in connection with the case.

The incident bears similarities to other recent cases reported by Nigerian news outlets involving minors being hidden in sacks following alleged violent crimes. For instance, PUNCH and The Guardian previously reported the March 2025 case of 10-year-old Abdalla Lawali in Adamawa, whose body was recovered from a sack after he was reported missing.

According to reports on the latest incident, police operatives moved in after receiving information about the child’s whereabouts, leading to his rescue and the arrest of two suspects.

The circumstances surrounding how the boy ended up inside the sack, as well as the suspects’ alleged roles, are expected to form part of the ongoing investigation.

The development has once again raised concerns about the safety of children and the need for parents, guardians and communities to remain vigilant and promptly report suspicious activities to security agencies.
