After multiple delays, the Port Harcourt refinery has officially commenced fuel production, the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) announced on Tuesday.

According to NNPCL spokesperson Olufemi Soneye, the loading of fuel trucks is set to begin immediately.
“Port Harcourt Refinery begins production. Truck loading starts today, Tuesday,” Soneye confirmed.

This marks a significant milestone in efforts to boost local fuel production and reduce reliance on imports.
