The English Premier league started the new season with interesting results across all 10 games in week 1.

Manchester City who are defending champions, began their title defense with a 2-nil win against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. 

Manchester United beat Fulham 1-nil, Ip swich Town lost 2-nil to Liverpool, Arsenal beat Wolverhampton Wanderers 2-nil, Everton lost 3-nil to Brighton, and Newcastle United saw off Southampton 1-nil.

Other results saw Nottingham Forest draw 1-1 with Bournemouth, West Ham lost 2-1 to Aston Villa, Brentford beat Crystal Palace 2-1, while Leicester City will host Tottenham in tonight’s fixture to wrap up round one of matches.
