A matter seeking the disqualification of Senator Magnus Abe as the governorship candidate of the Social Democratic Party has been adjourned to the 16th of January 2023 by a federal high court presided by Justice E.O Obile.
A member of the SDP in Andoni Ataisi Ntene had dragged Abe to court on grounds that he contested the primaries of both the APC and the SDP.
When the matter came up in court today the 1st to 4th Defense counsels pleaded with the court for an extension of more time to enable them to file their counter affidavit and written addresses to the plaintiffs originating summons.
Trial judge Emmanuel Obile in his ruling said the evidence provided by the defence counsel was in tandem with the constitution.
He further granted the prayers of the defence counsels for an extension of time to file their counter affidavits and written addresses.
