Rivers civil society decry the absence of streetlights in Port Harcourt

Blog, News, Uncategorized

Rivers state government has once again come under criticism, this time for lack of streetlights at night on major roads in the capital, Port Harcourt.

Spokesperson of Rivers State Civil Society Organisations, Solomon Lenu, in an interview with our correspondent, Allwell Ene, warned that the absence of streetlights will lead to an increase in criminal activities and kill the thriving nightlife of Garden City. Lenu called on Governor Nyesom Wike to instruct those in charge of the relevant Ministry, Department and Agency to immediately fix streetlights.
