The Rivers State Universal Education Board has started sending text messages to those who applied for teaching jobs for primary and junior secondary schools for interview at the board office along Elechi beach in Mile one, Diobu.
Our correspondent who was at the board’s office today, witnessed a large crowd of persons who came for the interview following the text they got. Most of them complained of poor arrangement in handling the process and suggested that the board ought to have conducted the interview on Local
Government basis while accusing some of staff members of the board of ethnic bias.
Chairman of the board, Fineface Akah, who declined speaking with our correspondent was however heard telling the applicants to go back home and return tomorrow, insisting that only 200 persons would be attended to today.
