The Rivers State Government has commenced the process for the sales of the Harold Dappa Biriye building formerly known as the NDDC building located at 167 Aba road in Port Harcourt.
Commissioner for Housing in Rivers State Donald Burabe during the bid opening ceremony for the sales of the building today at the Ministry of Housing said the decision to sell off the building was reached by the State Executive Council.
At the end of the bidding exercise only one bidder the Royal Building and Designs Limited bidding for the building for the sum of N2.1bn two billion, one hundred million naira
Correspondent Allwell Ene reports that the bidding process was done in the presence of staff from the Bureau of Public Procurement, office of the head of Rivers State civil service, Nigerian institute of quantity surveyors.
