Fear swept through a border community in Osun State after heavily armed gunmen stormed the area, abducted a former Customs officer, and shot one resident dead in a brazen late-night attack.

Eyewitnesses said the assailants struck swiftly, firing shots into the air to scare residents before seizing their target and fleeing into the surrounding bushes. The deadly raid left the community in shock, as families locked themselves indoors while cries for help echoed through the night.
