President Bola Tinubu has arrived in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, to participate in the Mission 300 Africa Energy Summit, which commences today, January 27. The two-day summit, hosted by Tanzania in collaboration with the African Union, the African Development Bank Group, and the World Bank Group, aims to chart a path toward universal energy access across Africa.
Day one of the summit will focus on ministerial-level presentations from participating nations, including Nigeria, outlining their national energy strategies to achieve universal energy access within five years.
On the second day, African heads of state will gather to endorse the Dar es Salaam Energy Declaration, a collective roadmap aimed at advancing the continent’s Mission 300 energy objectives.
President Tinubu is expected to deliver a national statement reaffirming Nigeria’s commitment to achieving universal energy access and showcasing the country’s leadership in the energy sector. His address will also highlight Nigeria’s ongoing clean energy initiatives and its strategic approach to driving integrated energy delivery across the continent.
The summit underscores Africa’s resolve to address energy challenges and foster sustainable development across the region.
