Former presidential aide Reno Omokri has justified his backing of President Bola Tinubu, saying the president is implementing key reforms originally proposed by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

In a statement on Tuesday, Omokri criticised former Vice President Atiku Abubakar’s media team for what he called unwarranted attacks against him, despite his continued respect for Atiku.

Omokri highlighted Tinubu’s achievements, including fuel subsidy removal, naira flotation, devolution of power, and student loans, as reasons for his support, stressing that Nigeria’s progress should rise above party lines.
