The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) says it has supported Nigeria health care system with over one point two billion dollars in maternal health, HIV medications and Child Nutrition.
Its Country Director Mrs. Melissa Jones who stated this in an exclusive interview on Classic FM 97.3FM emphasized that the USAID is in partnership with the Nigeria Bottling Company, as well as the Lagos and Anambra state governments, to address issues surrounding plastic wastes, while encouraging its recycling.
The Country director however maintained the interest of the United States government in Africa and Nigeria’s democracy, rule of law and human rights, while calling on citizens to engage more in democratic processes.
