The World Bank is set to decide on three major loan projects for Nigeria in 2025, totaling $1.65 billion, to tackle critical developmental challenges including support for internally displaced persons, education, and nutrition enhancement. The projects include the Solutions for the Internally Displaced and Host Communities Project ($300m), HOPE for Quality Basic Education for All ($553.8m), and Accelerating Nutrition Results in Nigeria 2.0 ($800m). These loans reflect the World Bank’s continued commitment to aiding Nigeria’s social and economic recovery.
The Federal Government, under President Bola Tinubu, has secured $6.95bn from the World Bank in 18 months, with recent loans including a $500m loan for a Rural Access and Agricultural Marketing project and other developmental initiatives.
