Lagos Seals 12 Hotels, Nightclub, Church, Others Over Environmental Violations

The Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency, LASEPA, has sealed 12 establishments across the state over alleged persistent environmental violations.

The enforcement operation, carried out on Tuesday, September 22, affected areas including Ogba, Ikotun, Ejigbo, Igando and Agodo-Egbe. LASEPA said the affected establishments had received warnings and abatement notices but failed to comply.

Among those sealed were hotels, lounges, a nightclub, a church, a plastic company and other businesses. LASEPA cited issues including noise pollution, non-compliance with directives and obstruction of officials. The agency said enforcement will continue to protect public health and maintain environmental standards across Lagos.
