Popular gospel singer Paul Nwokocha has addressed rumors surrounding his failed marriage, stating in a viral video that he has no regrets about ending the union due to his wife’s alleged misconduct.
“If I marry today and find out that the wife I married is doing an abominable thing before God and before man, I will send you out of my house,” Nwokocha declared in the video posted on his official YouTube channel on Sunday.
He further accused his estranged wife of sending nude photos and videos to other men, challenging critics who questioned his decision. “I married a wife, not a whore. So, I owe nobody an apology for this,” he asserted.
The video has sparked mixed reactions on social media, with some supporting his stance on morality while others criticize him for making private matters public.
According to ABNTV, Nwokocha’s latest marital split marks his second failed marriage in two years. His second wife, Goodness Nwokocha, whom he married in September 2023, officially ended the union in May 2024 by returning the bride price—signifying the dissolution of their marriage.
A family source revealed that Goodness endured hardships in the marriage, alleging she was treated more like a housemaid than a wife. The source added that she had no prior romantic relationship with Nwokocha before their wedding and moved from Lagos to be with him at the insistence of his uncles.
Nwokocha had previously separated from his first wife, Alice Nwokocha, citing “maltreatment,” including her alleged refusal to serve him food. He has publicly stated his belief that marriage should be “for better, for better,” rejecting the traditional “for better, for worse” vow.
