The Rivers Police command has confirmed the arrest of one Hope Nwala who poured hot vegetable oil on her husband in Obite Community in Okehi Etche LGA.

Police Public Relations Officer Grace Iringe-Koko said the middle aged lady is now undergoing interrogations at the police command. 

Mrs Hope Nwala from Obite community had attacked her husband; Ekelediri Nwankwo in Okehi community in Etche Local government area with hot groundnut oil and hammer.

The victim Mr Ekelediri Nwankwo a middle aged man had asked his wife’s younger sister to leave his house because of the way she had started dressing, and how she began to occupy their matrimonial bed even when he was around.

His decision angered his wife who refused the younger sister to leave the house.

Mr Ekelediri also narrated how he saw his wife alone with a tall dark complexioned guy in the shop he rented for her engrossed in discussion 

He said following the development he gave his wife’s younger sister two thousand naira transport to go back  home to allow him focus on his family  but that got his wife upset and while he went to sleep  she used hot vegetable oil on him and hit his head with hammer continuously.
