Manchester City who are defending champions, continued their title defense with a
fine 3-1 win over West Ham, helped by another Erling Haaland hattrick, Liverpool beat Manchester United 3-nil, Newcastle
beat Tottenham 2-1, Chelsea drew 1-1 with Crystal Palace, and Arsenal drew 1-1
with Brighton.

Other results saw Brentford beat Southampton 3-1, Everton lost 3-2 to
Bournemouth, Nottingham Forest drew 1-1 with Wolverhampton Wanderers
Ipswich Town and Fulham drew 1-1, Leicester City lost 2-1 to Aston Villa
