Candidate of the Social Democratic Party in Rivers State Magnus Abe has accused the chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party Desmond Akawor of allegedly sending his supporters to attack him in Egberu community in Oyigbo Local Government. 

Abe while speaking to journalists today said he was in Oyigbo to campaign when persons loyal to the PDP party chairman allegedly barricaded the road and started cocking guns at him.

Abe however assured that he would go back to Oyigbo and continue his campaigns. 

The PDP chairman Desmond Akawor is yet to react to the allegations as calls Sent to his phone were not answered.
