Residents of Rundele community in Emohua LGA of Rivers State live in fear as soldiers invade community, burn houses over the alleged killing of their personnel.
The suspected soldiers had invaded the community yesterday following allegations of an attack of their personnel as a result of an altercation between some alleged oil thieves in the area and the soldiers which was said to have allegedly led to the death of an officer in the process.
A source in the community however, debunked rumours of the death of any soldier at Ndele. The source instead, said the Men of the Nigerian army laid siege to the community and burning houses because OSPAC members disarmed two army personnel who are involved in Oil Bunkering activities in the area.
The Public Relations officer of Six Division, Nigerian Army, IWEHA IKEDICHI ONYENONACHI is yet to speak on this development.
