Five naira swap protesters arrested by police in Port Harcourt

News

Five persons are said to  have been arrested following  last week Friday’s violent protest  by hoodlums that saw two banks around the old Port Harcourt township axis of Port Harcourt destroyed.

A police officer at the Borikiri police station told our correspondent that the suspects were nabbed when they were attempting to come down from the bank ceiling where they have been hiding.

The source also said several electronics including laptops were carted away during the destruction.

Meanwhile the police command is yet to issue an official statement on the arrest.
