Nkanu Daniel Victor of the Intimacy with Christ School, Nasarawa state has emerged the WINNER of the MTN M-pulse Spelling Bee after a keen contest with the 1st runner up, Oluwa-damilola Adeolu of St. Metropolitan College, Ado-Ekiti.

The visibly happy Twelve year-old who won a whopping – two point five million Naira, a laptop, a mobile phone device – had identified “hard work” and parental support as backbone to his winning.

His school and trainer also went home with ten laptops, ten 5G Mifi’s and other educational materials for his school.

According to Chief Risk Compliance Officer at MTN, Mrs. Oby Ugboma, the MTN M-pulse competition encourages young Nigerian students build capacity in public speaking and digital literacy amongst students. She also recalled the competition drew thirty thousand contestants which eventually had 20 students at the final stage.

In his remarks, the State Chairman of the National Association Proprietors of Private Schools, Lagos state chapter, Alhaji Wasiu Olaitan had noted that the spelling Bee creates the needed confidence for students and building the future for tomorrow.
