Shettima Departs Abuja To US For 79th Session Of The UNGA

Vice-President Kashim Shettima has departed Abuja for the United States to attend the 79th Session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA), at the behest of President Bola Tinubu.

Tinubu had earlier directed the Vice-President to lead the Nigerian delegation to the high-level global forum.

Office of The Vice President, in a statement yesterday explained that Shettima would deliver Nigeria’s national statement, participate in key meetings on the sidelines of the event, and engage in bilateral meetings.

The high-level general debate would take place from Sept. 24 to Sept. 28.
