Suspected thugs loyal to different Political parties in Etche engage in tearing down posters

The political climate in Etche Local Government Area is now raising concerns as political parties have resorted to pulling down and tearing the campaign posters and billboards of opposing candidates in the Local Government Area.

According to an eyewitness and reporter who was in Chokocho in Etche today witnessed images of several billboards belonging to the PDP, APC, Accord Party, Labour party and SDP all destroyed.

Some residents of Etche who spoke with our correspondent lamented the ugly trend and called for urgent intervention by the government.

An Accord House of Assembly candidate in Etche  Ike Chimana Emmanuel whose billboard was destroyed appealed for peace amongst the political parties in the area while calling for a peaceful election.

Also, a Labour party Assembly candidate in Etche David Ebere who was seen trying to replace his torn billboard expressed Confidence that the security agencies will unravel the masterminds.
