President Bola Tinubu has appointed seven new ministers as part of a sweeping cabinet reshuffle aimed at boosting the administration’s efficiency. The appointments were announced following a Federal Executive Council meeting. Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu was named Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, and Jumoke Oduwole was appointed Minister of Industry, Trade, and Investment, replacing Doris Uzoka-Anite, now Minister of State for Finance.
Other new appointees include Maigari Dingyadi as Minister of Labour and Employment, Idi Maiha as Minister of Livestock Development, Yusuf Ata as Minister of State for Housing, Suwaiba Ahmad as Minister of State for Education, and Dr. Nentawe Yilwada as Minister of Humanitarian Affairs. Several ministers were reassigned, and five were sacked in the reshuffle.
This move is part of Tinubu’s effort to fulfill his campaign promises after over a year in office.
