The Etche Local Government Council has banned Tippers and trucks from loading sand at along the Chokocho Bridge. 

Security operatives has also been asked to arrest defaulters and impound their trucks

Also banned are all forms of illegal checkpoints in the Local Government Area. 

The council chairman Obinna Anyanwu who made this known at a meeting with local security outfits in the LGA said the measure was part of efforts to ensure security in the area. 

Anyanwu also reiterated his commitment at ensuring the security of lives and properties of the people of Etche and pledged total commitment to providing logistics support to security agencies in order to enable them carry out their duties effectively.
