The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN), says two of its towers, T193 and T194, along the Damaturu -Maiduguri 330 Kilo Volt (KV Single Circuit) transmission line have again been destroyed by vandals.

Its Manager Public Affairs, Mrs Ndidi Mbah, in a statement yesterday said the incident happened at about 10:15 p.m. on Tuesday night, when the 150 Mega Volt Ampere (MVA) power transformer at Molai Substation tripped, affecting Maiduguri and its environs.

Mbah disclosed that towers 193 and 194 along the 330kV transmission line were brought down using an explosive device, which fragments are scattered at the site of the incident, similar to the exploseive used to target towers T193, T194 and T195, back in December 28, 2023.
